The Next Generation 911 Institute (NG911) announced yesterday that AT&T’s Joe Marx was re-elected as chair of the board. Marx has served as chair of NG911, a nonprofit organization that supports the efforts of the Congressional NextGen 911 Caucus, since 2017. Outside of NG911, Marx is assistant vice president of Federal regulatory for AT&T, a position he has held since 2009. As chair of the board, Marx is tasked with helping NG911 serve as an educational resource on issues related to advancing and modernizing 911 services and systems to the Congressional Caucus, which is co-chaired by Sens. Richard Burr, R-N.C., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Reps. John Shimkus, R-Ill., and Anna Eshoo, D-Calif.
