The Burlington County, N.J., Commissioners have launched the Burlington County Parks app, which provides residents and visitors with resources to locate information about the county’s parks system.

“The Burlington County Parks System has more than 1,000 acres of developed parkland, over 50 miles of interconnected trails and multiple museums and art galleries. Each year, the system organizes and hosts thousands of activities, events, and classes,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “Information about it all can now be found quicker and easier than ever with this new app. It’s a fast and easy way to connect with one of the best parks systems in the nation.”

County Commissioners said the parks app is free to download and is available from the Apple and Google Play app stores or through the Burlington County Division of Parks and Recreation (NJ) App Store Links (

The app will provide information regarding the park system’s events, activities, trails, and resources. The app also provides park maps and amenities for each county park. It also includes details about the county’s regional trails, art galleries, museums, fairgrounds, and agricultural center. Residents and visitors can use the app to register for any of the activities, programs, and classes offered by the parks system.

According to a press release, the app was developed by the parks system in partnership with, which specializes in mobile app development for state, county, and local government agencies across the country.

“Burlington County is full of history, natural beauty and wildlife and our Burlington County Parks System provides destinations where people of all ages can enjoy these resources,” said Burlington County Commissioner Allison Eckel, the liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks. “This technology is another great resource for people to use to keep informed and learn more about our parks, museums and galleries and all the wonderful things they can do and experience by visiting them.”
