New York State has developed its first-ever customer experience strategy, a new initiative aimed at transforming how New Yorkers interact with government services and improving government operations on a day-to-day basis.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the state’s first-ever cybersecurity strategy aimed at protecting digital infrastructure from cyber threats. 

New York State announced it plans to launch the new Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act Portal next month. The portal, part of the New York State Department of Labor’s (NYSDOL) multi-year technology modernization plan, will give businesses the ability to file notice of layoffs in a faster, more streamlined manner and will provide workers more time to transition into new employment.

New York State announced it has approved $59.9 million for school technology upgrades statewide. The funding will go to 78 Smart Schools Investment Plans, which were approved by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

New York State’s Department of State announced today a new online application for the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), which helps victims of domestic violence, stalking, sexual offenses, and human trafficking protect themselves by getting new undisclosed addresses.

The State of New York is looking to invest heavily in modernizing K-12 technology. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the state has allocated $94 million for “reimagining teaching and learning for the 21st century.” As part of this round of funding, Cuomo approved 148 Smart Schools Investment Plans.
