While many colleges across the country have rolled out autonomous robots to help deliver food and supplies to students across their campuses, the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is taking a slightly different approach to delivery robots. Before rolling out a robot delivery network on the campus in 2023, researchers at the university will use a fleet of robots to understand and improve the experience of pedestrians who encounter the robots.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced that applications are now open for $95 million in funding to expand high-speed internet access across the state. The funding will be part of the Connect Maryland Network Infrastructure Grant Program. The Connect Maryland initiative is designed to expand the state’s investment in broadband and help close the digital divide.

New polling from Morning Consult found that parents and educators alike have significant concerns for student mental health and a high level of support for schools using online technologies to help keep kids safe.
