New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the approval of 48 Smart Schools Investment Plans that are making investments in school technology and working to improve school security.

As part of the $2 billion Smart Schools Bond Act, New York has approved $31.4 million in funding for 61 Smart Schools Investment Plans.

New York State announced it has approved $59.9 million for school technology upgrades statewide. The funding will go to 78 Smart Schools Investment Plans, which were approved by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
