Remote Learning

After learning remotely for multiple semesters, most college students still prefer in-person learning, but a growing number of students want to see a mix of in-person and online learning post-pandemic, according to a new report.

The Education Department released guidance this month which intended to provide strategies for the safe operation of higher education institutions, as well as address the impact of COVID-19 on higher education students, faculty, and staff. Among other issues, the guidance specifically addressed helping higher education navigate online learning in a pandemic and broadband and device access for students, faculty, and staff.

A new report suggests that hybrid learning models will continue to persist after the pandemic has subsided, with 94 percent of teachers open to hybrid learning so long as they have the proper resources, curriculum, and support.
