The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced a series of enhancements to online consumer application system for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The FCC said the enhancements will make it easier for eligible consumers to apply and enroll in the program.

State and local government officials talked about some of the best strategies governments can use to maximize funding flowing to them through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) approved by Congress late last year, during a GovExec webinar on December 13th.

The grant program that is offering state and local governments $500 million for projects that will utilize smart technologies to improve transportation will begin the awarding process this month.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) announced on Aug. 30 that the agency is soliciting input on its plans to provide $2.5 billion of grant money for electric grid resilience, and $3 billion in grant funding for electric power “smart grid” projects.
